Looking to get healthy, lose weight and have a chance to win $1,000 in Cash?  Lose Big to Win Big is looking for men and women, of any size, who want to make a dramatic change in their lives with this intense eight week contest. 

 

Do you have any the following reasons to lose weight?

1. I never want to diet again. Instead I want to finally reach a healthy weight and be fit, trim and sexy. I want to be able to do it the right way, so that it is maintainable.

2. So I can wear whatever I want. Clothes shopping will no longer be a depressing activity which I have learned to dread. I want to see a look in a magazine, or on a mannequin and say "I want to wear that", and be able to.

3. To be better able to play with my kids. I am tired of not having the fitness or energy levels to run, chase and carry my kids. I am tired of well being so easily tired.

4. To be able to stop feeling like I'm being judged by the number on the scale. I hate being weighed at the doctor's office. I hate having to admit to my poundage in any format.

5. To wear a bathing suit without shame. I will sweat on the sidelines rather than be seen in public in a swimsuit.

6. To reduce my risks of developing diseases. Right now I am not showing any signs of health problems due to my extra weight. My blood pressure, my sugar levels, are all normal, but being overweight does increase my risks for developing cancer, diabetes and heart trouble....and I have a lot to live for in my life.

To participate, contestants will need to:

·         Register with an entrance fee of $399

·         Need to have a SERIOUS DESIRE to lose and/or change your body.

·         For those with Health Conditions, Medical clearance may be required from their doctor or health care provider. 

o   Determined by answering “YES” to any of the questions in the Par-Q and/or at Mark or Andrew’s Discretion

o   If needed we can refer to a health care provider, to obtain possible clearance. 

·         Participate in before and after photos, interviews, and other forms of tracking and demonstrating progress.

 

 

Lose Big to Win Big Arizona will begin Monday, January 18th and runs until Friday, March 12th. Training sessions will be offered at various times of the day and at locations, in North Scottsdale (Near Scottsdale Rd and Thunderbird), Old Town Scottsdale (On Miller between Camelback and Indian School), and Phoenix (at 48th and Warner), so that contestants can have access to their trainer throughout the week.  We will be having sessions available in the early morning, mid-day, and the evenings.  Personal Training session times will be given to Contestants to choose from, upon registration.

Contest Eligibility:

      Contest runs from Monday, January 18th until Friday, March 12th, 2010.

      There will be no extensions, modifications or alterations to the 8 week program. Participants wishing to be eligible for the cash and training prize(s), must be present for your registration fee, measurements and before pics, and get you your nutrition kits this week at the following times. 

      • In North Scottsdale on Monday 1/11 at 6pm-7pm, Wednesday 1/13 at 4:30pm-5:30pm, or Friday 1/15 from 4:30pm-5:30pm. 
      • In Old Town on Tuesday 1/12 5:30am-7:30am, 12pm-2pm or Thursday 1/14 5:30am-7:30am, 12pm-2pm.
      • Please let me know what may work for your schedule.
        and the final weigh-in on Friday, March 12, 2010.

 


 

Prizes: 

 

The ‘Big Winner(s)’ and the contestant voted “Most Inspirational” will be announced at our Finale Friday, March 12th, 2010.

 

We will be offering a Cash Prize of $1000 and training package for One Month of Fitness Training Sessions to the “Biggest Winner”.    Also, Contestants will vote for ONE (1) of their fellow contestants, to win the “Most Inspirational” award of $100. 

 

      1st  Place  - Win cash $1000

      2nd  Place - Win cash $500 (10 or More Contestants)

      3rd  Place -  Win cash of $250 (20 or More Contestants)

      4th Place - Win a Prize package (valued at $200) (25 or More)

      Most Inspirational – Win $100 (Voted on by Fellow Contestants) 

 

 

Scoring:

 

The competition is based on total Body-Fat % Change (pounds of fat lost and pounds of muscle gained) during competition weigh-ins throughout the contest, participants will be graded on the following criteria:

o   +2 Points for every pound of fat lost

o   +1 Point for e very pound of muscle gained

o   -1 Point for every pound of muscle lost

o   -2 Points for every pound of fat gained

 

Weigh-ins will occur every 1-2 weeks; standings will be announced at the end of the week on weeks 3 and week 6 and again at the final 8 week weigh-in.

Ashlee participated in the Summer 2009 Lose Big to Win Big Contest and lost 21lbs and decreased her body fat by 9.5% within two months.  Ashlee won Third Place with her Weight Loss Results.
